Setting up a dial-up e-mail account for Outlook Express.

 

  1. Double-click the Outlook Express icon on the desktop.

  2. From the toolbar at the top of the screen - select Tools.

  3. Select Accounts.

  4. Select the "Main" tab.

  5. Click "Add" from the toolbar on the right side of the Internet Accounts window.

  6. Select Mail.

  7. Type in the name you wish to be displayed when sending mail.

  8. Click next.

  9. Select "I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use".

  10. Type in your address.                               (Example: name@atprs.net)

  11. Click next.

  12. Select incoming mail server as a POP3 server.

  13. Type in "mail.atprs.net" as the incoming mail server.

  14. Type in "mail.atprs.net" as the outgoing mail server.

  15. Click next.

  16. Type in your login name.

  17. Type in your password (optional).

  18. Click next.

  19. Click finish.

  20. Click close to close out of your Internet Accounts window.

Setting up a dial-up e-mail account for Microsoft Outlook.

 

  1. Right click on the Outlook icon from your desktop.

  2. Click Properties

  3. Under the "Services" tab select Add

  4. Click Internet e-mail

  5. Click OK

  6. Under the Mail Account of the General tab - Insert the name you wish to be displayed when sending mail

  7. Under User Information - Insert you name and e-mail address (Example: name@atprs.net)

  8. Click Servers tab

  9. Under Server Information - Insert mail.atprs.net as the incoming and outgoing mail servers

  10. Under the Incoming mail server section - Insert your login name and password

  11. Select the Connection tab

  12. Under Connection - Select "Connect using my phone line"

  13. Under Modem - Select the ATPRS.NET account

  14. Select Apply

  15. Select OK

  16. Click OK to close the "Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings Property" window

  17. Double-click the Outlook icon
