This user's guide provides a brief summary of the functions of the various web based email buttons and links. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you read this document in its entirety. It will provide you with a greater understanding of e-mail in general (e.g. what does "Bcc" stand for...) as well as this software. Please email suggestions and comments to support@adjeweb.com.

Log Out
Logs you off of the software and prevents unscrupulous individuals from accessing your email. Highly recommended!
Compose
Compose (Write) a new email message and send it.
Addresses
Edit Address Book. Edit existing entries in your address book and/or add new entries.
Mail Box
Display Messages contained in your Mail Box. Your mail box is updated with new messages each time you log in, so don't expect new messages to pop up in the middle of a session!
Check box:
A check box with a PURPLE background indicates that this messages has not yet been read (displayed) - translation: a new message. A white background indicates the associated message has been read (displayed).
From:
The name of the person or organization sending you this particular email message. If no name is present in the contents of the email, you will see the email address of the sender here.
Subject:
The subject of the email is displayed in blue. Click on this link to display the email message!
Date:
The month and day that the message was sent to you - not when you received it!
Size:
The size (rounded up) of your email message in kilobytes. 1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte. Enough said!
Select All Messages
Checking this box will mark all messages for deletion.
Delete Selected Messages From Mail Server
This button PERMANENTLY deletes any marked messages from your mail server, i.e. you will NEVER see them again, so make sure of what you're doing. You won't get a second chance!!! As a "footnote", these messages aren't actually deleted until you check your email again via this software. So, if you delete a message, then go home and check your email using another application like Eudora or Microsoft Outlook, don't be surprised if the message is still there!!
Un-Delete
This button allows you to Un-Delete messages from this session only. Most useful if you mistakenly delete a message during a "brain cramp" and immediately take notice.

Open Address Book
Display saved addresses. Click on links (in blue) to send to just that person. Press the "Update Addresses" button to send to all email addresses with marked check boxes. This method can be quite slow when you have a lot of addresses saved.
Edit Address Book
Add new email addresses or edit saved addresses.
To:, Cc:
Enter one or more email addresses you wish to send this message to here. Email addresses must be separated by a space, comma, or semicolon. Valid entry examples are:
mike@adjeweb.com amy@adjeweb.com
mike@adjeweb.com, stan@adjeweb.com
mike@adjeweb.com; stan@adjeweb.com
Remember that everyone listed in the "To:" and "Cc:" fields receives a copy of the list of email addresses that received the message. "Cc" stands for "Carbon copy".
Bcc:
"Bcc" stands for "Blind carbon copy". Email addresses listed in this field are not sent a copy of the list of people that received the email. Example: If you had three boyfriends (or girlfriends) that you wanted to shmooze with the same love letter, this is the way to go!! The entry format is that same as that of "To:" and "Cc:" above.
Send E-Mail
Once you've completed your message and specified any attachments, this button will send your email on its way!
Clear Message Box Only
Will clear the message box of any text. It's faster to send a "new" message by replying to a message and clearing the message box than pressing the "Compose" button and bringing up the address book. A note to "vi" editor users: pressing the "escape" (Esc) key while in the message box will also clear the box - be careful!! I've been burned on this many times!!
Attach Files to Message (Optional)
You may attach up to two (2) files from your computer to an email. Hit the "Browse..." button, specify the file(s) you wish to atttach, then press the "Open" button. The path of the file will appear in the text area to the left of the "Browse..." button. Once you've completed the message portion of your email, press the "Send E-Mail" button to send your message plus attachments. Remember that large files take longer to send than small ones!!

General Comments:
Clicking on a linked (blue) name/address will copy the address of the individual into the "To:" field of the "Compose" form and close the address book. You may send messages to several addresses by checking the "To:" "Cc:" or "Bcc:" boxes followed by pressing the "Address To Selected Users" button. This button will transfer the checked addresses to the "Compose" form and close the address book.
